Project Reflection Final

Overall this has been a very fun experience for me. I got to help people in one of the only ways i can. plus getting to play Pokemon instead of English wasn't that bad. What i learned is that i definitely need much more time to finish this project but i got a lot of great comments and had fun with my mentor doing this. I did not yet reach my goal but its in the works I plan to still upload Videos and maybe continue sharing experiences i have here on this blog. and if i decide to continue i will probably start a new game after i beat this one. so to reach my goal i feel i need to beat all types of games in order to provide incite in all categories of gaming. so the next game will be The Legend of Zelda. I have not decided which one but i picked it because i feel its got a lot of different categories such as a puzzle kind of game as well as you have to defeat bosses. If you've played Zelda you'd Know that with the older games they are some of the hardest games ever made. So Overall its been a great experience and I'd like to thank all who commented with ideas you have been very helpful, and id also like to thank April for helping me decide on this project, and my mentor for helping me get thus far to my goal.

Narrative

Well not much has happened to tell but once when i was making a video my sister came and and said really loud yo! if you listen carefully to one of the videos, I'm not sure which one, you can hear her in the background. Then a couple times I'm just clicking and accidentally deleted pikachu's only attack move at the time so i had to restart the video. If you want to know how crazy i am about playing these Pokemon games I'm actually playing Pokemon blue on my game boy advance as well as making these videos. Its all been pretty normal just me playing the game and posting it so there's not much to tell that Isn't on the videos. I guess on one of the games i accidentally gave some incorrect information, i said that you can get mankey in Pokemon blue but you cannot i retracted my statement later but i felt a bit embarrassed that if someone playing blue searched forever for a mankey then had to look it up. I learned this while playing my copy of Pokemon blue and wondering why i wasn't finding one and then I had to go look it up and realized that i was wrong. so that's about all that had happened in my experience so far.

Persuasive

Why Pokemon yellow is superior to its red and blue counterparts. Pokemon yellow is a better game because in red and blue there is not multiple color schemes and yellow has a different color for every town and all of the roads have a different color. Pokemon yellow also allows most Pokemon to be caught without trading between Pokemon games as you need to in red and blue. Yellow also offers a much stronger pikachu that learns moves that in red and blue he could not learn. As well on Pokemon yellow you get To have all three of the starters charmander bulbasaur and squirtle while in red and blue you can only get one without trading or using a game shark. As well as much better looking Pokemon in red and blue they don't look as they are supposed to but in yellow the look twice as good. Pokemon yellow allowing you the three starter Pokemon is a great advantage in the game because they are the strongest Pokemon of their type. Pokemon yellow also offers the opportunity to fight team rocket Jesse, James and meowth. Pokemon yellow was also the first game until 2011 or so when soul silver was released that your Pokemon could follow you not in its pokeball. So clearly the evidence points to yellow as being superior to its red and blue counterparts.

So far I have been a little behind schedule, but I plan on picking up the pace to meet the goal. Based on your feedback and collaboration with my mentor we have decided to do at least 2 videos a day, we got a little overwhelmed trying 5 a day. so I will definitely be posting much more often than I have. so overall thank you all for your feedback and support it helped a lot in making my decisions please any advice at all will be most help full.

Mentor Interview

My Mentor is my sister Elizabeth Frields. She and i have played games specifically Pokemon for years. So she is going to be a great mentor. She and i talked about the goal for the project. She recommended that i should post at least 5 videos in 15 minute increments a day. This would give me a minimum of 1 hour and 15 minutes of video a day. She also recommended i place a link to my you tube channel so people may view my progress. This is the gist of what we talked about. Lets hope that people can learn from what i post.

Project Proposal/Action Plan

My goal is to pick a game of my choice and do a complete walk through to allow others to learn whatever is needed to enhance their gaming experience as well as things they may have missed if they have already completed the game. I decided on this goal mainly because i like games and i like helping people so i put two and two together. Ill try to play the game as much as possible in order for me to complete the game to the fullest extent. I'm thinking of picking my sister for my mentor because she and i have played games all our lives. My biggest concern is that i might not complete the game to the fullest extent possible but I'm going to ,as i said play as much as possible in my spare time anytime i have the time so hopefully i can do this. My choice of game is Pokemon Yellow.
